Trustees - Advocating for Students

The primary role of the Board of Trustees is to advocate provincially for fair and equitable funding to ensure that all students receive a quality education experience, no matter where they live. Equitable funding means that students have reasonable transportation times, facilities are appropriately maintained, and students receive the same quality education program.  Unfortunately, the rural depopulation trend continues to affect these services as government funding is allocated on a per student basis.

Learn more about the challenges facing rural education and how your board of trustees is advocating to ensure fairness and equality for all students.
